ART TURNER

Art Turner is our President and CEO. His diverse background in aviation and construction allows him to
see the “big” picture in most things. Art soloed at 15 to get his private pilot’s license and was flying
before he was driving. After a time in the US Airforce, Art began working at San Jose Jet Center and
pursuing his aviation career. He then went into Airline Operations Management in San Francisco
International Airport for British Airways and other International carriers. From there, he migrated to
Oakland Airport and took over as Operations Manager for four different airline operations. Art spent his
time away from the airports building things and perfecting his finish carpentry skills. This hobby became
a business when he left the commercial airline world shortly after the 9/11 tragedy. Later, Art started
with Bitterroot Valley Log and Timber as a salesman and quickly became the General Manager within
two months. When the previous owner decided to retire and sell the assets, Art and his wife Robyn
started Montana Custom Log Homes, Inc. and purchased the assets of BVLT along with the old Neville
Log Homes facility and they have been growing year over year. If you know any pilots, you know they
have an uncanny ability to think two steps ahead. Art uses this skill in every project he oversees to
ensure his customers’ expectations are always met.
